I have a B&G macaw and am wondering if there are any good places/websites for macaw play stands. I would like to get him a bigger one.

You should try contacting tweety cage from face book. They are a local store in Texas but they do ship . Very nice and friendly people if you chat with them on Facebook they will send you pics of what they honey

You can actually buy large amounts of PVC pipe and a variety of connectors at your local home depot and a bulk of vet wrap for less than half the price of a large stand. The great things about DIY stands is you can look up pics online to get ideas but in the end you can make it however you want it. You can change things up if your bird gets bored or just to spice it up

The PVC thing is the way to go if you have a way to cut it. It is so much cheaper and you can make it the way you want it. The vet wrap I use, I get on amazon in packs of like 12 for 12 bucks or something like that.

Thank you guys. Maybe I will go that route if I can find some good ideas online.

Birdman posted a thread in do it yourself. A
HUGE PVC stand.
I used it as inspiration, bought a $15 dollar hand held pipe cutter at Home Depot and built a stand.

Make it yourself, and make it the way you want it! Consider the small backwards scoot before the poop and don't position the perches or branches too close to the edge of the base or "it" will land on the carpet! That's my big beef with all the bird stands I see for sale in stores or on line.

You can also incorporate branches with the PVC and make something outrageous! A little imagination and a little work, you will have exactly what you want.

Down the road you can add to it also, just dont glue the joints. Don't forget some vet wrap to put on it for that no slip grip!

I second tweety! I've met with him a couple of times, good guy, and he's supplying everything I need for great cost. Everything is great quality as well.

I've got his info if you want it.

Pvc is an awesome route. If you want a wood playstand, I highly recommend Manzanita.com he sells already assembled playstands, or you can buy just the Manzanita branches and create whatever monstrosity the voices tell you to. [emoji12]

Thank you guys! I think I will probably go the PVC route for now. I bought a really nice 'table top' play stand yesterday that is a pretty good sized one that I am going to put on a stand. Right now he doesn't get into playing with anything outside or inside his cage.
