So, we decided to just buy another cage for outside. I talked a lot with my mom and she wasn't excited about loosing even 6' of the backyard. When I move out and have my own backyard I'll definitely make or buy a aviary still.
We are almost definitely going to buy the Victorian top HQ cage, and I'm thinking I'll make it Rosie's indoor cage and put her current cage outside since the HQ is a higher quality cage and I'd prefer it was her daily cage. Rosie's current cage was pretty cheap($215) and I wouldn't mind replacing it in a year when the elements have caused it to rust.. The outside cage will be covered with a tarp when not in use to help prevent damage in our very mild weather. In the winter when rain storms are present it will move moved into the garage.
My mom said she would buy it for me since my birthday is on the 22
This is the model we are going with, the dimensions are Exterior: 36" Width x 28" Depth x 57" Height, only one inch deeper than Rosie's current cage.
