I did bring a cup of water that he could drink from but he wasn't having it. Spray bottle next time, for sure. How do they sweat? We were not out long maybe 15 minutes before I turned around. But as soon as we got inside he was fine. In the summers I always take him out side. I don't remember the panting. I didn't take him off the porch though. I made him a PVC perch. We have had to relocate MANY times because of hurricanes. Shelters here are starting to get better about pets mainly because of Katrina. So Norman has been forced into alot of things. Now I'm trying to get him to actually enjoy change. Funny thing is I'm the one whose to adjust my way of thinking not so much Norman. So instead of traveling with him because I had to, now it I want to.

MAJOR PROGRESS!!!
Last night I played / talked Norman on me knee for about an hour. Put him on his cage. My partner came home picked him up and sat across from me. After about five minutes Norman climbed down his arm across the couch and up my leg!!! Didn't really want me to touch him just wanted to sit there. I think he's starting to understand that it doesn't have to be one or the other.

And apparently doesn't hold a grudge for too long! :09:

LOL, Bosley tries to hold grudges, lasts 10 seconds or so.
Amazons are wonderful for that, they thrive on attention and making people laugh so they don't usually manage to stay mad for long.
When I get home from work Bosley wants to be mad at me for leaving, so he runs down his cage and flares his tails and grunts while hurrying to preen me and cuddle up.

I wish his grudges only last for 10 seconds! LOL
It's not too hot today so I just took Norman to lunch. We walked for a couple of blocks & sat at an outdoor cafe. NO PANTING! I brought a water bottle just in case. Three waitresses feed him walnuts & after about an hour I gave him a small piece of tempura sweet potato. He started putting on a show!
This is really starting to work! :30:
Thank you ALL so much!!!
