Yellow Sided GCC Oliver (October 2009), and a Cinnamon GCC Mia (August 2013)
So I found this on craigslist and it's stainless steel so it wont ever rust and has a lifetime warranty. I can't spend $500 but if they will lower it I'm wondering if it will be a worthwhile upgrade? I think the pictures are throwing me off because they're showing these big birds on the cage and making the cage look huge but the measurements show that it's a little smaller than my current HQ Flight cage.

I was also looking into getting AE medium corner aviary because it's much larger than the HQ and it may be able to house both green cheeks if they end up friends and we all decide to go that route. But people say it's more difficult to clean and I'm worried about it being too dark and gloomy in a corner haha. For now I'm just trying to upgrade Oliver's cage and give Mia his old one. Which is still pretty nice but I need a replacement tray. Also it's got a tiny bit of rust in some area's which is worrying.

Thanks for reading this rambling post

Actually I just emailed and they said they think it is a little bigger (Prob. 30x24x30). Also I'm guessing I would need some sort of paperwork for the lifetime warranty to be valid or would it still work?

I also like the idea of the seed catcher but it seems a lot of people don't like them and take them off, it looks like even they took theirs off

That's an nice upgrade so get it if you can!!!!! If something like that shows up in my area they get snatched up so quick before I even get the chance to respond.

Seed catchers make the cage extra wide/long. And it can be a pain to clean. I leave mine off as well.

Haha well we'll see if they'll feel okay going lower, $500 seems like a good price so I feel bad for asking but I just can't afford it. Crossing my fingers!

Yeah, for me though what's worse than cleaning up seeds is when they *somehow* poop outside of their cage and I have to scrub it off the floor.

If you lay towels around the sides of the cage that'll save you the hassel of scrubbing but give you more laundry to do. :)

$500 is a good deal as long as its in good shape!

Someone else is also looking at this cage for a noble macaw that they just got! (Her name is Memo) And if they don't buy it, there may be one or two other people also interested in purchasing it!

It's probably the 32x23 cage, like this one... or larger.

Like I've said, cages like this gets snatched up really quick....I'm tempted to get a brand new one for Willie, he's due for a new cage....

Nope! That's the recommended size, even for birds as small as finches!

But cages that size (as in the add) usually have bar spacing larger than 1/2"... and the photo they provided does not match the cage description and info they provided... so it might not even be 1/2".

To me it looks about right but I asked her to make sure.
When you guys say other people are trying to buy it do you mean the exact cage from that person or just in general?
Haha well I'm going to be working a lot this weekend so maybe I can make enough for it.

Hmm I dunno guys, in your opinion should I try to go for this cage or would the AE corner aviary be better? I kind of think bigger is better but the idea of an everlasting cage is nice.

What you decide to get is up to you in the end...

And yes, I mean that exact cage!

To me I would buy it but the choice is yours to make. A small bird such as a conure doesn't wear out the cage too badly if you decide to get a bigger cage that your happier with.

Yeah I decided that although I'd love to have that cage I shouldn't be going over the budget that I set for myself. Hopefully I'll be getting the new aviary cage Sunday
