A green colored parrot showed up in my neighborhood today. Very rough description from what I can research so far find is looks similar to a Yellow Napped Amazon. I can not find a good web site to help ID her for sure. Then I want to play the appropriate parrot calls but so far cannot find any sounds except the joke telling parrots etc. I need just t:green2:he regular 'calls' to draw her to the cage I set out. I’m exhausted from running around on this, hope she makes the night, it is warm but drizzily with very good tree coverage. Thanks in advance.

Note – did not see any yellow on her and beak seemed thicker and browner than most parrots of this size I have seen. Perhaps whiter underbelly but no crisp viewing yet.

put out bowls of water and fresh fruits & veggies (apples, bananas, carrots, leafy greens, peas, ... anything BUT avocado, onion or raw tomato ...) if she's lost and hungry and thirsty this will draw her out of the tree for sure.

Also, let he eat a while before you approach her. If she has been lost for a few days she needs to eat/drink before you try to approach her and possibly scare her off.

Even in the wild parrots 'calls' are not as well defined as many other birds - nor is their response to them; this is even more true for (semi)domesitcated parrots or parrots that have been raised as a pet which this one most certainly has if it's in the US.

Even if you identified the right call there would be very little likelihood that it would mean anything to this bird. Don't try to call as a bird, call as a human as that's who's raised this one.

Tex's suggestion is right on the money.

Didn't you notice how big the front door to this place got when I came back ... I mean that was simply because my ego was back ... :D:54:
