Help please my bird got attacked

I'm so glad she made it....I hope the vet doesn't find any injuries and that she will be just fine. So fortunate that it wasn't worse!

Ok. so this is the latest. Mitsouko is home, eating and drinking water. The vet says he has a very strong infection but she thinks that with the Cipro he should be ok. She also sent him a cream used for burned patients (humans) the plucking the dog did was so bad, that it tore part of the first layer of skin. :( We have to monitor hime closely for five days because it's the critical period. She stated that he can't be too sleepy, plucking, not eating. If so, then I have to take him back asap. He has a follow up appointment next Saturday.
So far I see him in good spirits, he just had fruits and a lot of water. She did indicate that he will be tired now because he's in pain until the meds kick in. She did state I did very well by taking him last night, that might've saved him. :)
so we shall see. I will keep you guys posted.

The infection is bad but she thinks curable. Thank God no broken bones, nor fractures. Cipro, topical creams and pain meds. He's eating so i'm super happy. :yellow2: thank you! :10:

I will keep him in my thoughts, and hope that he just continues to improve from here on in!

As a first time bird owner you should be very proud of yourself!

so glad to hear you followed thru with another vet visit, and meds were dispensed, soon he should return to normal, and you can breath a sigh of relief :)

Thanks! I'm proud. He's still not chirping a lot though. That has me a bit worried. He's eating like a beast lol drinking too. He's taking the meds perfectly and the baby formula. He's still walking around on one leg but the dr told us it will use the leg in a couple of days.

Thank you guys! :green1:

UPDATE***

Mitsouko is doing very well, he's eating, taking the meds great, drinking plenty of water. Today he was introduced back into his cage (told to do so by vet). He loved his cage, went straight to the highest peak of the cage and loved it, took a nap after. :) I bought a little plush home and he went in there to sleep as well. He was walking around his cage and climbing. He is using just one leg though but is doing super well with it, he's been eating on his own as well. I'm super proud of him, he's doing very well. Saturday he goes for his check up. Today makes five days since the accident. I think he'll do pretty darn well after all this is said and done. The vet does think there might be nerve damage since he's still not using it. Is it possible that the nerve damage goes away? Since he's back in the cage can this be good for leg use? I think it makes him try...
well thats the update and thank you all for the well wishes!!!

xoxo mitouko and I thank you!
