Greenwing macaw baby girl
I bought a baby Greenwing macaw for Christmas and my B-Day, just found out from the DNA test that it's a female :)
Please help me pick a name for my baby girl, my B-day is tomorrow and I appreciate your input on girl names for this Greenwing baby, thank you and Merry Christmas.

Out of curiosity, how'd you DNA test with such a small baby?

I'm bad with names xD

So so cute! May I suggest Ivy, Maisie, Penny, Penelope, Daisy, Sunny, Pippi, or Delilah as names?

Really nice names, thank you.

Congrats on the birdday coming up.

LOL 3 1/2 months old cuteness who can resist...
I would rather have her had a few weeks more with the parents, but I'll not go into that again here ;)

Usually a name will come to you when you interact and you discover her personality.
(I still have just a working title for mine, and she has been here 11 months or so...)

I have this weird "rule" ... the scarier the animal, the more silly and tiny the name should be to stop other people from freaking out.
Nobody gets freaked out by a pittbull named "Smoochies" right? Name that same animal "Brutus" or "Killer" and you paint a different picture.

Pick something elegant yet delicate for a bird that size and people will mellow out a lot more ;)

Names with rrr's and kkk's will be easier on the beak for her, but that is just convenience talking. (Pun intended ;) )

in those pictures she looks like an Isabelle to me, but that is just me ...

Names aside, she is Sooo cute in the first pic, snuggling with the stuffed animal. Maybe ' Snuggles' as a name?

Names can also become self-fulfilling! Don't go for Terror or Bite Factory!

Good advice about choosing a mellow name, and with rrr's and kkk's, and waiting to meet her personally :)
I believe the breeder had her with the parents like 10 days to 2 weeks.

thank you.

Hey, never ask for name suggestions from somebody whose bird is "The Rickeybird"!!!!
I can't wait to see what you pick!
