Hello,

So I found someone selling me a macaw for $3000, I contacted them and they said that it was free shipping. Then I told them I will buy it and they told me to send my credit card number, security code , and Exp date. They are a total scam I believe and steal people's credit card number! BEWARE!!!!

Oh yeah total scam!! Are you looking to add a macaw to your flock?

Wait one minute!!!!!
Hmmmmm.............First you said you wanted a "free" bird and was even asking someone who was willing to let their bird to go for "free" if they can pay for shipping (!!!?????).......AND NOW YOU AGREE TO PAY $3,000.00 (!!!!) for a bird????!!!!
I am sorry ..... There is something wrong here!
There are plenty of very nice birds (including Macaws) in need of loving homes in Rescues and Sanctuaries for much less than $3000.
I suggest you look there if you truly want a bird to keep.

I'm also looking for a GCC, male preferably

I just checked, and California has more parrot rescues than many if not all of the states in US.
I even found one in Orange County.
I honestly think its better to get a bird from them than dealing with sellers outside the state, shipping poor thing and paying much more than someplace nearby.
They do want to know if their birds go to a nice home usually........

I'm sorry, but in your other thread here you say you CAN'T pay much for a Conure OR Macaw... and in another thread you asked someone if they would be willing to pay for the shipping for a Lovebird. http://www.parrotforums.com/birds-wanted/59210-wanted-free-macaw-conure-small-rehoming-fee.html Now, you were going to pay $3000 for a Macaw? Uhhhm... It goes without saying, but this doesn't look too good. :33:
I took people advice, I can't pay much for one but I don't believe 3000$ is a big amount

I said pay much, much is around 5000 dollars

Yes but you went from saying Free to paying close to 2x the normal cost for a macaw (depending on species). You also were unwilling to pay the shipping price for a lovebird, something that would come out to be about ~$150. Now you are saying 5k is your limit, if you can afford to spend 5k why are you asking for a Free one? 5K is enough to purchase a Macaw, a nice cage, fill it with perches and toys, buy the power tools to make your own toys, pay the Vet bill, get a nice stand, and still have some left over (again depending on species).

IMHO you are playing with intelligence of members on this forum, which is your choice, but I wouldn't do it. I have tried my best to clear this to you as best and as nice as I could,.......... I give up!
