Hey guys um this is my first time posting here, i hope i'm not messing anything up, and i don't really know much about how this works but i've been needing help getting my little one to the vet and i had no one help me in my life! So i need to figure it out! Maybe you can help?
Vet is 4 hours away by car but i can't drive and i don't have someone to drive me. Vet is 6 hours away by bus, from which 1 hour is a break, and 6 hours straight by train. Little one (lovebird) was so stressed last time she ate almost nothing the 3 days we were there and we went with the car that time. I'm scared this longer travel time and staying there overnight (and the medical procedures) could kill her... the medical procedures would be risky enough already... help?
Should i post this somewhere else that has more to do with travel...?

What's wrong with your bird?
Seizures/convulsions and vomiting/bacterial infection. I don't know if that's too relevant. I did however find an app that can connect me with drivers going longer distances. I'm pretty sure i'll use that.

Where are you located and where is the vet
Romania right at the border with hungary and the vet is up north. Average 4 hour drive by car. By train or bus 6. I found a local app tho that can connect me with drivers going longer distances from city to city and i'll use that. Seems most reliable.

How long has your bird been sick? It sound serious and without immediate avian veterinarian care she may die. The stress of the trip can be minimized by putting her in a mostly closed carrier like one designed for cats and small dogs lined with soft towels with bowls of food and water on the bottom.
I would hire a driver to take you. A bus or train trip should be your last resort because it does sound stressful and I'd worry about too many temperature changes.
