My name is Talha, I am from USA and thinking to setup as a breeder.
My questions are from experience breeder are,
1. Can I setup individual cages for breeding pairs in my garage?
2. I am thinking to breed indian ringneck or african grey, Would it be a good start, i don't want to breed budgies.
3.what could be a good parrot for breeding business.
4.garage would be a safe place to keep parrot?
5. Anything that I should concern as a new breeder.
6. How much does it take if I start to setup with indian ringneck almost 15 to 20 pairs?

Hello.

Breeding is SUCH a complicated matter. Even experienced breeders face hardships, heartaches, and big expenses...

May I ask why you are looking to breed?

I am hoping some of our breeders will see this thread and give you some advice.

I'm glad you're reaching out...

Welcome to the forums.
Have you had parrots before? They have some unique needs, and are ad intelligent as primates.
Sticking birds in a garage doesn't sound ideal. They need to see outside, spend some time in the sunlight and fresh air, parrots are tropical and need warm homes, and in the other side garages can over heat killing the birds from hest stroke.
Breeding birds is best done with love and joy of parrots , not as a money making idea.
To breed birds they need to be in optimal health, that's feeding a pellet diet , as well as fresh veggies every day.
It's really hard for most people to offer advice on this topic.......
I hope you will stick around, read the day active topics, read all the blue sticky threads at the top of each species forum. Read up on the toxic household items, health nutrition, toys section. I tbi k it will really help give you a feel about owning parrots.

A garage is not a safe spot--too many fumes, drafts and lack of enrichment. This is a GIANT undertaking....
