Hiya I guess would be best to start offf with a bit about me.. name is Ginny Live in East Texas I have one daughter by birth many others by choice.. I have loved birds all my Life My grandparents always had cockatiels . Anyway I have 3 Cockatiels first one was a rescue of sorts since she was always in the cage and became a plucker. Since getting her I got to more cockatiels so she had friends Love my lil flock so much and since Tuki ( first bird) kinda took to my husband and the Bob and Mr mean [ her friends] took more to my grandson { trust me it was funny watchin a 3yr carry around birds that didn't want me at all} I decided it was my turn for a baby .. Found a mustach parraket My lil bebe .. But when i meet bebe there was a ruby macaw and when she got in my hands i know I had to have... She had to have one of her toes removed becouse the skin didn't come off so it cut off teh circlation to that toe.. Need less to say I finaly got my lil baby girl now . So in totaly We my family or flock is 3 grandbabies ( 4 months old) ( 1 and a half ) ( 3 rd old )
3 Cockatiels
1 mustach parraket
and 1 ruby macaw

I might should say a husband to but well I feel like he is one of my kids alot

And ofcourse there is My 21 yr daughter and her husband.



I finaly decide to register and post a hello after watchin these forums for about 3 months now..

Ok sorry long post but thanks for a wonderful forum and soo much info.

Hiya thank for the welcome.. I just added a picture of Ruby to the photo area under macaws I will go now and add the one pic i can find of bebe and put his up also.. I know I have alot of pics of all the birds but I need to find them threw the kids pictures as they are all my babies lol

Ok here is Ruby and Bebe.. beb is not usualy in a cage actauly the only time any of the birds are in a cage is at night so i can cover them. I will add more pics when i find them.

Oh, they're soo cute. Still babies! It's so fun watching the Moustaches mature because they change soooo much.

I am soo happy We got babies.. They are both still being hand fed though bebe is ready to weaned he still wants it and I go ahead and feed him I figured it woudn't hurt to keep hand feed . Wouldn't it help to build a better bond?



Though I didn't know it would be harder to feed a macaw.. Our 4month old Grand daughter actualy laughed I mean a belly laugh watching us feed Ruby.. I was laughin so hard at her that it took a while to finish feeding Ruby..
