Hi!
Im so glad ive found a parrot forum - some of the things my clancy does confuses me and im not sure if im doing something wrong with her but after reading a bit im assured that shes just crazy!
Clancy is my 11 month old Rainbow lorrikeet - one of her grandparents was a red necked lorri and shes starting to look a bit red so i guess thats one more tag to put on her!
Im not sure shes a girl now because of the amount of words shes picked up however she loves saying "Good GIRL!" so regardless clancy is going to be a girl.
Shes transformed myself, my mother, boyfriend and friends into bird lovers! My dad and his partner hand raised her just for my 21st birthday and shes a present that makes me laugh every single day.
What does clancy do?
says: Hello (in numerous tones and always when you walk into the room)
Good girl! (numerous tones again)
Stop IT! (under her breath. This one sounds very very very clear and was the first words she learnt...)
Teeeegan! (my name. But its usually when i walk out of the room)
Clancy
Clancy dance (she dances as she says this)
Hello clancy!
Hello clancy pants!
What are you doin?
Come on!! (then the clicky noise we do with our mouths)
WHAT!?
Very sure shes said "stupid" too. Hmm.
She also : Meows (thanks boyfriend. any time im not in the room he meowed. Its learnt)
Squeaks like our front door (not fun at 3am. its a spot on sound.)
Sneezes
Kisses
wolf whistles
many whistles actually.
Dances (we used to have to dance ourselves to get her to do it. now we just move a finger and shes off!)
Growls (yeah. I dont know about this one. But its always accompanied by her being all lovey so im sure its not anger)
purrs
And she knows a bit of the song "barbara streisand" by duck sauce (youtube it. Im 22, of course i play this full blast. She loves it!)

Thats pretty much it. Im (almost!) 22 from sydney, australia and i think thats all the interesting stuff about me hahaha.
