Hello all!



I'm Monique and I live in the Netherlands. I stumbled upon this forum while looking for fellow parrot moms and dads to talk to.

I have 17 cockatiels living in a large aviary and a 11 month old Red Sided Eclectus called Mango. He's the love of my life!

I hope to find other people with the same love for birds! Looking forward to talking to you!

I hope it's okay that I posted some pictures of my birds. Feel free to ask me anything!

Thank you all for the warm welcome! I've had cockatiels for almost 10 years, but this year I lost my heart to my ekkie. He was only 16 weeks when I got him, but I'm already his third owner. He is wonderful. So much personality!

Wow, the Netherlands are taking-over the forum, lol!!! Welcome to our community, I'm glad you're here, very glad...We can use all the experienced bird people here we can get!

I love your aviary set-up, I have one I built into the wall in the walk-out level of my house that is about the same size as yours, and is built into the wall just like yours is. I have the very last clutch of Budgies I ever bred and hand-raised/hand-fed in it now since I retired my breeders; they are 8 American/English hybrid Budgies, 7 males and their 1 sister, who lives in a large flight cage next to the aviary during her Breeding-Seasons or if she ever starts being broody.

Your Cockatiels are all gorgeous, as is your Eclectus! Again, welcome, and please feel-free to contribute all you can to the forum discussions!
