GCC Pineapple
Hi to all of the members here. Today, I took possession of a beautiful 8-week old Pineapple GCC.
I had been researching smaller birds for quite awhile and, due to living in a townhouse, this type seemed to suit my needs.
She is still at the breeders and just came off of formula so will be coming home with me in the next few days.
I held her for about an hour today -talk about "stealing your heart"... WOW! She wasn't the least bit skittish or fearful. After holding, hugging and petting for an hour, I even tested her by having my wide open hand come (slowly)towards her face...nothing. No biting or nervousness. Just lots of loving.
I'm hooked!

Looking forward to learning and commenting on this forum.

Welcome and congratulations! They do steal hearts don't they? There's tons of great information here and lots of fellow conure people. Look forward to seeing pics of your little one :)

Hello & Welcome!
I am so excited for you, this is the beginning of a wonderful journey:) I can't wait to hear more about her and see pictures! Have you thought of a name yet?

Welcome to you and your forthcoming Pineapple GCC! We have many conure parronts and an active specialty forum for the species!

My JoJo is a pineapple gcc! He's really inquisitive and is fun to watch. He loves to walk across the roof of his cage upside-down. He's also the only one of my birds that is A-okay with being held on his back. You'll love that bird forever. Glad to have ya here! Btw, JoJo is a very popular name for green cheeks on this forum lol

Welcome!
I'm so glad you found us... we'll look forward to welcoming you into our community!

Haven't fully decided yet. While holding her/him yesterday I instinctively kept calling him "Buddy". In fact, this was my nick-name that my Father called me.

Also noticed that his personality (so far) was exactly like my first dog (1970's) and so the name "Chipper" came to mind.

But I am partial to Italian names like "Cella", "Stella", "Fredo" and so on. Gonna be a tough decision.
