hello from Qld!

Hey everyone!!
I'm Julia, I don't currently have any birds I had a cockatiel but sadly he died a couple of months ago RIP Sheldon.
I have been looking ever since for my perfect bird and can't yet decide on a breed.
I have a beautiful 2yo son and am expecting another in may, but our house just isn't complete without the happy voices of birds!
My partner isn't a bird person (yet) but I see how he looks at them when they're around him, he can't keep that hidden love from me
One day I'd love to have my own sanctuary full of maccaws and various parakeets but that's a dream for many years time.
I live in sunny QLD of Australia and love it here.

Hi Julia,

I love the way you talk about your partner. My husband is the bird person, not me, and yet here I am with an Eceletus parrot! I guess that persistence pays off eventually. It only took my husband 20 years to convince me...

I think everyone has a little spot in their heart for birds! I was never a big bird person but when I got my cockatiel I have been bird crazy ever since! I have even started a wildlife management course with an opted ornithological study lol
My mother in law is a big bird person, she has galahs, lovebirds, cockatiels, moustache parrots, but her male galah is her baby yet my grandmother in law has a phobia of birds! She might take a little more convincing then my partner
