Hello everyone! My name is Cassandra and I'm new to owning a parrot. I've done so much research on parrots that my head hurts and I've been mulling over for the past 3-5months whether to get one.
So last saturday I went to a bird fair to see the parrots in person and see how I like them. I have to say I told myself I wasn't going to buy a bird that day but I did. He is a 15week old African Grey. I had either wanted an african grey or an amazon but they didn't have the Amazons I was interested in(DYH, YNA etc) I have to say even the cockatoos won me over! After hearing of Einstein the famous Grey I finally told myself that these baby Grey's would be ideal to start training. Not to mention they were so calm and sweet even though they were so young and never been in such a public place before!
I put a deposit on him and I'm going to pick him up in a week.
I'm planning on picking this saturday!

I remember my dad was dead set againts birds until my mother brought one home, now she's more his bird.
