Hello Everyone!

I am a new member and wanted to introduce myself and my feathered babies. I have a B&G baby that is about 7 months old and a Quaker that is also about 7 months old. My husband was a little intimidated by the size of our B&G and fell in love with the Quaker (not so intimidating!). We weren't planning on the quaker but he is a hoot and I'm glad Harley has a feathered (albeit long distance) relationship. They are in the same room but are never left unsupervised or on the same perch. Too risky with the size difference.

Anyway, I have encountered some questions along the way so I started looking for a forum for parrots. LOTS of them were dead, as in no recent posts! But then I found this one. So, I hope to talk to and learn from other bird people who know a lot more than me! I just love my Harleybird and want her (don't really know if she is a she or not) to have the best life... Pedro too but he's my husband's bird! ;)

Hi! welcome to the forum this is a great place to be! I'm from Texas but am spending this semester in Central Florida so if you know of any upcoming bird fairs or great parrot stores I'd love to hear about them.

Kelli,
Where abouts in Central Florida? There is a GREAT bird store in Brandon, FL on Hwy 60. It is called 1-2-Tweet. I'm there like once a week! They already know me! LOL. There is also a guy in Plant City who does bird shows twice a year called Ammerman's and that is where I got a couple of cage perches really cheap. He has perches that are like 12 feet long and you pick out the one you like and he cuts it to size. He also makes breeding cages or outdoor cages and has toys. His next show is in July I think so not sure if you will be here then but if so, it's a can't miss!

Hi and welcome! You must be close to me if you know about Ammermans. LOL!! I haven't checked yet, but it seems like there is a show coming up in Gainesville. For some reason, I've got it in my head that it sould be about time for that show.

Ammerman's is about 10 minutes from me. Gainesville is a little far but you never know! ; )
