They are so beautiful! That 3rd picture is adorable, I can picture them making up stories about the clouds:) How long have you had them? What are their names?

Hello and welcome to the forum! Those are some beautiful birds! And I see those pics were taken outside. Are they free flight trained, then?

Thanks Terry.

Male (right hand side) is 2,5 years old, his name is "Blu"
female is 2 years old, and her name is "Jade".

My son and daughter named them (Guess where they found the names?)

:):):):):)

No flight please!!!!!!

At least for now, as I'm not confident in let the birds play with my dogs (2 rottweilers and 1 Golden Retriever).

These dogs are heavy, and they love to step up our feet (and it hurts a lot)

I can't even imagine what could happen if the dogs try to play with my birds.

I have double locks with padlocks in my outside cage just to ensure both sides are safe (dogs and birds)

They have clipped wings, and can only play outside in the garden with me.

Hello Paulo! I am new too!

Your macaws are beautiful! Good on you for looking out for ALL your pets safety! Very responsible! I agree with Terry, that third picture is just adorable especially!

Oh my, I think it has been way too long since I had little ones at home. I had to google their names to see where they got them! Great names for beautiful birds:)

Such beautiful birds! I always love seeing birds outside in the sun :D

Welcome, Paulo, fantastic birds and terrific photos. From your name you would seem to be a Japanese Brazilian?

Macaws are birds most Australians can only dream of, they are in very short supply and expensive... and the target of thieves, but I guess that's the same everywhere.

Hi Mike.

Thanks for your comments.

Yes, my grandfather came from Okinawa/Japan

Even here in Brazil (we have plenty of them in the nature), a captive raised macaw is expensive.

The B&G are the least expensive ones.

But I must say, macaws aren't for everyone. They're SUPER NOISE, it looks like you're living with a huge locomotive in your room.

Everynight I have to cover the cage, and remove the cover in the morning (08:00 AM), so their morning calls won't wake-up my neighbors at 5:00 AM :eek::eek:.

But, in the other hand...They're so lovely..
