Well I thought I had better do a welcome thread and introduce myself.
My name is Jim, I'm 36 and I live in a tiny town called Exmouth in Western Australia, married with a 4 yo son.
I have loved birds, especially exotic/psittacines for as long as I can remember and on a recent trip to Perth fell in love with a young Rainbow Lorikeet and after many begging phone conversations with the Mrs, I brought her home. I honestly don't know if it's a female or male as I haven't had her tested but my Son is adamant that she's a girl so until further evidence is brought forward to the contrary, she's a she.
I work as a dive instructor and a Whaleshark guide and although it pays a pittance, there is nothing in this world I would rather be doing.
Here's a few pictures of me in my office for anyone interested.
My other hobbies include flying RC helicopters (nerdy, I know) and I have recently taken up underwater photography.
Again, some pictures if you are interested (everyone loves pictures).
And finally, here is an encounter with a Grey nurse shark (in other parts of the world they are known as sand tigers or raggy tooth sharks), this video was shot a couple of weeks ago, the guy in the vid is my good friend Gary, I'm taking the video.
