My name is Larry Diehl, I'm a 46 year old airline pilot from Fountain Hills, Arizona. I have a 20 year old Citron Cockatoo that I adopted at five years of age.
It was quite a learning experience at first, and it has subsequently turned into quite the adventure. I wouldn't trade a minute of it for anything, despite some of the earlier challenges. I think I literally was his 'pet human' during the earlier stages. He's quite the character, and quite intelligent.
We were fortunate to have found a dedicated Avian vet early on, and have been going to see him for groomings and physicals for many years now. I've run across this forum in the past, and decided to finally register.
