Thank you for the welcomes, I've uploaded a few pics of her.
I'd like to elaborate more about Lucy if I may, and give you guys a better idea of my situation. About five years ago Lucy decided to attach to me, which I hear is common, that a parrot selects one person to be there "mate". I am her "mate" and theres no changing that. However she has been very defensive of me and her territory (which is basically my room). We don't clip her wings and our house is pretty much safe for her, and we don't have any other pets in the house. The problem is, Lucy has to basically stay in my room because she becomes very aggressive toward my mom. Is there anyway to change that? She is nice to everyone else in the house unless they try to come near her "nest" which is basically a cardboard box with t shirts that she chews on and buries herself in which is located in my room. I know it will be hard to keep her from being protective over my room and her nest, but is there anyway to keep her from being aggressive toward my mom in the other parts of the house, where she is nice to everyone else?
