Hi everyone! I am so happy to have found this site! We purchased our female quaker (she has been sex tested) @ 1 year ago. At the time it was just my husband and myself living home. We have 3 cages for her to "hang out" in. One in the kitchen, one in the home office (that is also the cage she sleeps in) and one in our bedroom which is where I spend a lot of time when I am homeā¦this happens to be her favorite cage where she is often the most content. She gets a lot of time and attention from my husband and myself, but the one thing I struggle with is "playing" with and trying to "teach/train" herā¦
She gets a daily spritz in the shower where we have a perch for her.
She absolutely loves and is connected to me and my husband, but in May my 23 yr old twin daughters moved back home and she is not so nice to them. She will bite them if they get too close :-(ā¦.
If anyone has ideas and advise on 1. how to play/train her 2. how to help her learn to be nicer to my daughters I would SO greatly appreciate it!
Thanks so much and I look forward to being a part of this community
