We recently adopted a 6 year old Blue & Gold Macaw, that was in need of a new home. I’m not new to Macaws but I have been away for a while, as my last B&G stayed with my ex wife and daughters due to the close bond.

I took our new girl to the vet today for a check up and trim and all is good.

I already have a couple questions about our new girl, which by the way is going really good. She was shaking her wings a lot the first day. She has now warmed up to my Fiancee and I and has become a big baby and like to rubbed and scratched by both of us. She closes her eyes and lays her hed down to be rubbed.

Welcome neighbor! I live in Clermont, and in a few hours will be driving by on my way to Brandon, just got tapped to dog sit for my daughter's fur bombs for the week!
