Good morning all from a soon to be TUNDRA, Ohio!

I am SO happy to find this forum! I have been an bird owner/lover for many years and love to hear others stories of their little charms, too!

Ok, here is what I have:

Pets include, a male CAG, a male Sennie, a female Sennie, a Violet Pied lovie (who I will be breeding next year), and the Queen Mother herself, a blind Camelot Macaw. :) We got the Macaw at 11 months old. She came to us not knowing how to be on a stand or do much of anything (only because her previous owner did not have a ton of time or she would have known all of these things) but I am home all day long and hubby also took time with her. She now does everything and anything that a seeing bird can do. We love our birds so very much!

Some of our pets are rescues and we would never breed them. We have three Linnies that are rescues, our CAG is a rescue and our Female Sennie is a rescue. :) OH! And a pair of little lovies from a hoarding home. All loved, all fed very well and all keepers in their forever home.

My breeders are as follows:

Turquoise Pallid female IRN with her Turquoise male
Blue Pallid female IRN with her Violet male
Lutino male and female IRNs
Blue female IRN with her mate a Green/blue/ino male

A pair of Rosy Bourkes (male is blue green series) and they just had a clutch of three. The babies are beautiful! One is a Rosy but the other two have a blue and green in them.

So, this is my list of my FIDS!

Have a GREAT day everyone!

Welcome! I just left the blizzardy weather of Chicago to return to sunny South Florida. I feel for you!!!! Sending warm breeze your way...

Hello and welcome! Sounds like you have an amazing flock:) How old is your macaw now?
I would love to see pictures of all your babies!

Hello, Spiritwolf46, and welcome to the forum! Taking on a blind macaw must have been quite a daunting challenge. Impressive undertaking! How did you approach the training? I imagine it must have been quite a different technique than you'd have used with a seeing bird, no?
