we had 1 blue and gold macaw
SORRY IF I PUT IT IN THE WRONG THREAD IF SOMEONE COULD CHANGE THE OTHER ONE FOR ME. THANKS
To start out we are not on hear for hand outs and not making this up.We lost our blue and gold macaw a month ago and it been so hard on my wife and my 9 year old twins. he was 5 years old and we had him from a baby.He was loved and cared for very much so and the kids played with him every day before school and after school he even helped out with the home work and yes even ate the home work,
they took him into our local vet one morning to get his wings done, beak, and get him sexed . the vet put him under cuz of all the fighting he was putting up with the vet and to do the sex. he did come back out of it they brought him home in a box.
if anyone has one for sale or would like to find a very good home for please let us know if you could help us out please. THIS IS NOT A JOKE THIS HAPPEN FOR REAL . IT BROKE MY KIDS HEART

Sorry for your loss. What a sad story, that poor bird. I can just imagine how heartbroken you all are.
Last year my ex husband took his AG named Congo 12 years old, to the vet, for a check up, to have his wings clipped, nails done and beak.
He was not put under, he was a very tamed bird. He clipped his right wing, then started to clip the left one, Congo just fell over and died.
The vet said perhaps is was due to stress. This some times happens to the best of birds. No explanation !!! We were devastated to say the least
Hope someone will be able to help you out.

I Hope someone will be able to help me out. or at least looking for a home for their bird. i dont mind paying money for it just not going to pay price of a pet store thow

We have many people to post when they have birds for sale or adoption. You can also try a rescue org. If you live between NY and NC you could try Phoenix Landing = they are great people. See the posting Three bird we need to rehome put in today.

Your story is very sad. Birds can get totally stressed. It is a good idea to expose your bird gently to new people and situations every opportunity you can. Not to worry there is a bird out there waiting you and your family.

I'm terribly sorry for your loss. Recently I saw a post on here offering young B&G's for $600.00 I remember cause i'm still kicking myself for not being in a situation that would allow me to take advantage of a deal like that I'll keep looking through the old posts and I link it when i find it. What was the vets explanation for what took place?
