Health Exam-Blood test?

Hello everyone, new forum member here.
I have a beautiful sun conure that I purchased back in August of this year. I thought it might be a good idea to take her to the vet for a check up just to be sure she is still healthy and everything is in order (she also had an exam from the pet store when I purchased her as well).

The vet didn't give her a blood test, and I am wondering if I should press the issue. They told me that she was too young (about 9 months old) and does not weigh enough (100g) to do a blood test. They did do fecal gram stain which came back negative for any parasites.

Should I be concerned they didn't do a blood test? It seems odd that she is
"too small" as I didn't think she would get much bigger.

Any advice or thoughts would be appreciated.

I dont know what kind of blood tests they do, it could be that their standard tests require more blood than is wise to take from such a small bird, similar to how you cannot donate blood if you weigh less than 100lbs. I personally do blood tests through AvianBioTech with the snip of the nail for $19.50 per test.

Too young and small? That doesn't seem right to me. I had Pat checked out within too weeks of getting him from (ugh) Petsmart. Around the first of October I had his blood work done for checking him heath wise and sexing and he was only 6 months old and weighed about 66g. Now granted he is a Yellow sided GCC, but still.
