I have a beautiful Blue and Gold named Zoey (13) and a Harlequin named Harley (4)
Hey guys, so I took Harley out this morning and he has thrown up twice in about 30 minutes. They both were about the size of a walnut. He has neverrr thrown up since I brought him home. Its sunday and my avian vet is closed and im not sure what to make of it. Hes his usual happy self. Hes talking normally and playing hes been calling the dog and devoured a cracker. Could this just be him being affectionate for the first time?

Did it look like he was regurgitating (head bopping)? Did it happen while you were either holding him or near him?

What I find a bit odd is that he "threw up" this early in the morning, especially since his crop should have been completely empty - unless, of course he had already had his breakfast.

The first time he was sitting on a chair and my mom was telling him he was beautiful and he just bobbed and threw it up the second time I had put him in the car and he bobbed and threw up.. excitment? He knows we are going out? Lol. He use to freak out in the car now he loves it. I fed him this morning already I for some reason have decided im awake by 630 on sundays.. I feel like both birds have sunday alarms they know its going out day and they call me no later then 7. :)

Actually wendy we are on our way to check out a green wing macaw. I got a call late last night from todd marcus hes were I got harley from. He called me to tell me he had gotten one on consignment and needed a foster family because he required alot of attention Im gonna check him out and see if we mix! But im pretty sure I can't keep him. How are you doing? Want to add to your flock? Ill post pictures. There should be a rehoming fee but im sure I can speak to todd about this if hes serious on finding him a forever home. Id be willing to cover the costs as well, im more serious about finding him a good home. Im just not surr I can right now!

If Harley had already had his breakfast, then I'm willing to bet it was sheer excitement, nothing more. :) Niko does it, too, when he gets excited, and/or feels particularly affectionate. ;) Not pretty, but hey, want are you gonna do, right? :D

As for the GW.   Not no...but HECK no. I've got NO MORE vacancies. Believe me, my 4 keep me super busy, on my tippy toes from morning til bedtime...so no way, sorry. :54:

my male loves to regurgitate on me... I know it is a sign of affection but it is also super gross :\ I am lucky enough he does it to me multiple times a day lol... I try and explain to him I ate enough he should keep his food for himself lol
