Terri, there is no visible difference at all in male and female quakers. Sammy is a male, Harry is female. Their speaking ability is very similar, Sammy has picked up more phrases but Harry mimics sounds better. During hormone season Harry gets much more aggressive, the signs are more obvious. Sammy is also a builder, he builds constantly with his basket of sticks just like his male relatives in the wild. Females take care of the inside of the nest, Harry is true to her gender, even when Sammy offers to share his sticks, she politely refuses. As far as playfulness and curiosity, I really can't see any differences I could attribute to gender rather than personality. Are you thinking of adopting a quaker?
