Happy Gotcha Day, Zeke and Popeye!

I wish we could celebrate hatch dates, sadly we don't know those dates. We celebrate GOTCHA' DAYS instead. One year ago today, Zeke and Popeye came to live with us. As close as we can figure they are both about eight years old.

Thank you for the laughter, joy and magic you've brought to our home! We love you both so much!





For those of you who don't know Zeke's story, the missing feathers around his neck is due to an accident he had before we met him. He managed to hang himself up in the frayed cloth of a snuggle hut and stayed there for several hours. He's also still wearing some of his breakfast on his beak. The scar tissue is permanent, but we are so happy he survived and we adore our sweet boy, scars and all.

I kissed all their sweet little heads for you, Auntie Terry! I only got bit once, Zeke is molting and didn't want his picture taken. He cheered up later, they had b-day birdie bread and a little popcorn and watched Labyrinth, they like the music.

Amanda, thank you so much, Popeye is every bit as cuddly as he looks.

Auntie Trish, Popeye and Zeke send happy squawks to Barney, Madge and Dominic!

Julie, that's right, Zeke's the little fellow they shoved out on the sidewalk in his cage and slammed the door.
