I bought Andrew a big box of Wine Gums and filled in the signed areas as "To: Daddy, From: Merlin, Bigfoot, Poppy, Brucie, Lucie & Steve xxx"

Bigfoot and Poppy are our rabbits and Steve is our gerbil

He might not be a daddy to real kids, but he's certainly a good daddy to our fids!

Father's day is special and i think we often "forget" dads and all they give and do for us. (Moms get remembered more often than dads, who sometimes quietly slip in the background).
I am my dad's only child and even though my parents were divorced when i was a kid, my dad made sure he was never absent and always showed me i was important to him and that he loved me. As an adult, i really give him credit for that and appreciate it.
Yesterday he and i kicked back and enjoyed the day together.....and we took Gilbert (and the dogs) out in the yard for his first outdoor flight on his harness. He can't go too far but he can definitely FLY a little! It was fun to share his first flight with my dad on a special occasion.
