71 or 17? It's just a matter of perspective, isn't it? Plus, it was way more fun to be 17 back then than it is today!

But I must say, wouldn't it be nice if we humans aged as gracefully as our birds do? Except for our African buddies and a few others, have you ever seen a grey parrot? Or balding, saggy, wrinkled parrot with a spare tire and double chins? It's that lush growth of feathers, replaced a couple times a year, that make our babies appear ageless!

Thanks guys! As I was driving home from a jam session last night, I reflected on how varied and rich my life has been, so far (birthdays are good for that). I decided I am indeed a lucky SOB and in no small part because of my love for parrots and hence ParrotForums. May your life be as rewarding!
