Thanks, Chris! I did, actually, despite never making it to the movies despite 3 separate attempts! Each one was thwarted by strange happenstance. Hahaha! Guess I just wasn't meant to go to the movies, yesterday.
The dinner was amazing! A massive 40 odd ounce ribeye steak for two, that I "shared" with my wife, (yes, shared is in quotes because her portions were ridiculously small! Hahaha!) that had been aged for 32 days and cooked to tender perfection, succulent lobster tail with a sinful dipping dish of rich, melted butter, and a side of very melty macaroni and cheese. Swooooooon! All followed up by a birthday cheesecake (New York style!)
And all this was out on a flame-lit patio that was freakishly free of any mosquitoes and attended by ninja-like waitresses who would pretty much materialize unexpectedly out of the darkness to top up your wine or refill your water, ask if you needed anything, and then melt back into the obscurity of the surrounding shadow. Never been waited on by ninjas, before. Very cool.
I should also mention, btw, that yesterday's birthday was shared by my resident speedster, Jolly (aka Barry Allen, aka Mr Jay, aka face-hugger), who turned two!
