Awww, thanks everyone for your thoughts, well-wishes, images and videos! I'm really feeling the love from my Forum family!

We had a little celebration on Thursday, as I got home rather late from work. It was really nice, though. Fruit tart cake, gifts, and wonderful cards! My boys even drew pics of themselves with me. Very touching.

Bixby and Maya even joined in on the fun, adding their... distinctive voices to the birthday song! Hahaha! And Bixby was nice enough not to dive bomb my slice of fruit tart. Always much appreciated!

Anyhow, apparently the celebration continues tonight. The details are top-secret. Lol! And then again next weekend! Alas, those details also appear to be on a need-to-know basis. Very hush-hush! Haha!

Well, for phase 1 (Lol!) of my birthday celebration, it was a surprise gathering with some of my friends. They were a bit disappointed that I'd figured it out beforehand, but otherwise a good time was had by all! (It's the running joke amongst my family and friends that no one has ever been able to surprise me for my birthday. Lol! It's even gotten to the point where some of my friends don't call on my birthday if something is planned for fear of being the ones to ruin the surprise! Lol! The absence of those calls is, of course, a give away in and of itself. Hahaha!)

We went to a nice Jamaican restaurant in the SoHo section of Manhattan and enjoyed some good reggae music and delicious food. (The heat of the pepper was considerably downgraded from what you'd find in Jamaica, but considering that I'd have been the only one enjoying my food if that hadn't been the case, I was okay with that. )

We didn't really get any good pics. It was rather dark. But I'll see if my friends have any. Otherwise, I'll try to get some from either Phase 2 or 3. (Yes, turns out there is a Phase 3 as well! I fear I'm being somewhat spoiled this year. Lol!)
