Hanging jungle gym

Since the kid (almost 2 yrs) had figured out how to infiltrate my barriers and decided to play in the "sand box" which was the base for Chili's PVC jungle gym...So I figured it was time to dismantle it anyways.

She still needed a gym to play on, so I had some bamboo hubby cut up a while ago and enough PVC to start my own hardware store lol so I made this...

I enslaved hubby to install a huge eye-screw in the ceiling so it hangs above her cage.... She seems slightly skeptical because it swings, but she likes it enough to climb to the top!

Yep! Lol hubby was saying how we should use certain training methods to get rid of his "bad behaviors" and explained how we should go about it- I said oh, that's how you'd train a parrot!! HAHAHAHA

It was fairly easy- I used vet wrap to get the bamboo sticks to fit snugly in the PVC, and it hangs from a chain connected with a quick link- all of that is covered with an extra piece of PVC to prevent her from climbing up to the ceiling and eating it

The bamboo sticks actually spiral like a staircase- in this picture you can't see a couple on the other side.

I have got to get rid of the drop ceiling in my bird room! After seeing this, and Tab's pictures of Fargo's set up, I feel like a bad Mommy
Now that I have inspiration, I can see a new play set up for my guys!!

And yes- I'm the brains (most of the time ), and he's the braun hahaha. I'm currently waiting on him to build me a couple things....I think I just need to work up the guts to operate the table saw and the compound saw and do it myself lol

I don't know how good a vacation it would be though...oh, wait a minute. I meant to say this is the best place to visit in the world!!!! Get packing, my friend (and make sure to pack sweaters)
