Hi there, what a beautiful Macaw! How do your 2 Mac's get along with your Grey? I see you have had the macaws since 2020 are they both only about 4 years old? I've always wanted a macaw. I have to live through others due to my Ekkie being so attached to me. He wants to be with me every waking minute. He will just sit on my shoulder, and be content. I can even put his stand by me, and he's fine. If I walk away, and he can't see me let the screaming begin. Are your macaws this way too? My conures like to be with me for about a minute, and then they'd rather be together.

I have 2 dogs, and 3 parrots (ekkie & 2 conures).

Hi,

Oh yeah, both of these boys are bonded to each other and to me like super glue. They will scream incessantly (especially Scottie) until I go to them.

That’s a really neat outdoor setting you have going for them. My parrots all love being outside. I really need to make an aviary outside for my parrots to go in during the day.

Do you train with them?

Someday I’ll have a macaw. My husband is scared of parrots. My Ekkie got ahold of him pretty good a few years back. He still interacts with my conures, but the larger parrots he is very afraid of. He also doesn’t want to take on a parrot who picks a favorite person, and doesn’t interact with anyone else like Nico does. He thinks all of the larger parrots are this way now.

The outdoor aviary I pictured before shows the mommy and daddy of Scottie & Louie at the breeder near Tampa, FL back in 2020. I wish that I had a setup like that too, and I also wish that I had the parents with me so that they could join their two sons and be one big happy flock.
