Hahn's Macaw diet

Well it's been a few weeks and I've introduced Cosmo to a bunch of new fresh foods. I made him a salad of chopped kale, red bell pepper, and this long skinny hot pepper (that's what the store calls it). He dived right in and first thing he went after was the chopped red bell pepper. He picked them all out and ate some but dropped them all over the bottom of the cage. His bottoms of his feet are all red now. When he came to me to take him out of his cage, he wiped his beak all over me. He must have liked it.

I tried adding bean sprouts into the mix today and he was scared of them. Looked like he thought they were aliens that were going to eat him! Lol
