Had to rescue this poor guy

Welcome to paradise, Meegosh! :D (LOOOOVE the name you picked for him, HILARIOUS!!!)

How super scary that he had a seizure while getting his beak done. Looking at the photos, it really only is ever so slight, and I truly think with the proper trimming it may actually be reversed/fixed. Fingers crossed. But you know what, even if it can't, he's one stunning little dude!! :smile015: Now whenever you feel tired, just plug yourself into Meegosh. :54: They're like the Energizer bunny.

I was heartbroken to read of Meegosh's past...but overjoyed that he obviously hit the jackpot when it comes to a new home. Thank you so much for sharing the story and the photos...I look forward to reading about his progress!
:)

Stole your heart, didn't he? Meegosh wasted no time, eh? He apparently knows a good parront when he sees one. I'm glad you opened up your heart to this little guy, Laura. Sounds like he needed it, and I look forward to watching him flourish under your care.

Keep the pics coming!

He really did steal my heart and it became fully clear just how much so when I thought I would lose him at the vets office.
He had his first bath here today which he seemed to enjoy. He LOVES to eat and I have yet to find something he turns his beak up to. He says are you hungry and pretty pretty bird the most.

I got a big order from MSBS today. I ordered a new sleep hut/bed thing though I was reluctant. The old owners told my friend that he MUST have his hut which by the way was made from a kitchen placemat and was truly FILTHY. I did hang it to see how attached he was to it and sure enough he slept in the dirty thing so I ordered this new one and did try to wash the homemade one which promptly fell apart. It may have been the gunge holding it together!

It irritates me that the old owners could be so darn concerned about his hut staying with him and not over his beak, diet, lack of toys or appropriate perches and general hygiene for cryin out loud! Or the fact that they played pass the birdie to everyone in their family, then tried to sell him and couldn't get any takers because of his beak and dumped him on my friend.

After his bath today he is already even more handsome! This is his new hut.

He's a gorgeous guy in spite of his horrible previous life! I can fully understand that you had to take him into your heart and your life. He already looks yours :)

Congrats! Beautiful ending to his sad story:)

What a beautiful guy. You will get him squared away and have a wonderful life together.

aaaaaawwwww!!!! So glad he has you!!

Meegosh is absolutely adorable! I bet his new menu alone makes him believe he is in birdie heaven. What he went through is criminal no matter how good the intentions were.

I love the hanging bed. It looks safe and easy to clean.

Very nice set up, Laura! I know he will love having the space he deserves.

LOVE the photos. And I just love this story...it just warms my heart that he found the perfect forever-home.
:)

Aeww], he has certainly not only hit the jackpot - but knows it! And given his prior diet, no wonder he is a little piggie when it comes to "real" food! I love his name, too! It suits him!
