I recently got hired at target as a electronics specialist and my first day went great! I was a little shy at first, quiter than usuall but I really opened up after a while. My next day is on Wednesday, I'll then be able to use the cash register with my own employee number.
I'm pretty happy with the hours they want me to work, so far it's 8am-4pm, I'll be able to take care of Rosie and Kenji in the morning for an hour and a half(I wake at 6am) then be with them when I get home around 4:30. And the days I don't work I'm all for the birdies!
I'm so excited about having a consistent job! And on top of this I'll still be making money on the side like I have been. I've honestly been a bit stressed out, I've been making just enough money to take care of Rosie and Kenji up to my standards. But now... I can spoil them! Hahah, and also save up money. I love that target pays bi weekly(Petsmart was weekly, and I hated it). I'm putting half of every paycheck, and whatever is left over into a savings account until I have $2,000 minimum saved up. I never forget that at any second I could have a major vet emergency on my hands. I don't want to rely on my parents in a situation like that, it's not their responsibility and I try very hard to fully support my birds.
