GW update

Hey strangers new schedule is still hard to get used to but that was expected. Basically I spend my time with the GW's in the AM, early afternoon time, which doesn't seem to bother them. Miri is REALLY starting to develop a vocabulary now!!! Very distinct "hellos", her and ReaRea's name as well. What's funny is the different pitches she uses, she is also calling out my name every now and then as well

I finally got a hold of my breeder today for the 1st time in a while... she has 2 baby GW's hatched just this past weekend , YCM's sitting on eggs and the Zon's are going nuts as well........I told her what a ***** Miri had turned out to be and she laughed and said just like I wanted her to be...:11::52: I am SO loved LOL:18:

None of my guys call me foul names, but both Salsa and Zaf actually flip the bird on a frequent basis . But by "flip the bird", I mean that they literally flip the bird, in that they'll be perched on my wrist then suddenly topple over to where their beaks are pointing at the ground and their tails are pointing straight up toward the sky! They then just hang there upside down. So I guess in a manner of speaking one could say that I get "flipped off" all the time

The GW's are pretty awesome with me for the ost part, and yes I know the flipping upside down thing. The only reason they'll ever call me foul names is cause of my wife's 'pet" name for me LOL

Our m2 came to us cussing a lot... So now if there is a loud noise in the house that is not bird related lol, jackpot cusses up a storm and it gets pretty bad at times. We ignore it In hopes that it will stop one day as if we ever had to rehome him it could be offensive to the people(doesn't bother us one bit).

Well......the past 3-4 days have NOT been fun, Miri's attitude is back with a vengeance and she is on a biting spree. A really mean one too, she was on my chair and reached down and got a BIG chunk of muscle and bit down really hard. She didn't break skin but I am still sore from it, the next day she clamped down on the wife's arm and she has a pretty big bruise to show for it. No clue yet as to the attitude change but I'll figure it out...... Makes me wonder, this all happened right about the same time I got back in contact with my breeder who laughed when I told her what a poophead Miri had become and that she had planned it that way.....:11::52:

WOW did I get bit again today by Miri :17: She clamped down on my hand REALLY hard, I heard a snap but my hand is working but also have swelling. After all this I still firmly believe its a jealousy issue even though I've done everything I can to eliminate it. I really didn't punish her other than telling her to not do it again and she was very sweet after it happened.

Key thing here is for those that read this, I KNEW she was in a mood, flared wings and eyes pinned, but she's never bitten like this before. We learn and grow with them at the same time. I have no doubt of her love, she just needs to learn not to bite like that (which I will teach her!)

Let me know how you get her to stop ..Charlie my greenwing still clamps down without reason every now and then.. I refuse to let him win.. So now Im always prepared any time I handle him...I wrap a towel around my arm and put two sweatshirts on.. Sometimes she steps up without issue.. Other times she bites.. Now I let her have her two or three bites (on my well padded arm)when she doesnt get the reaction she is looking for she jut steps up like nothing happened..
