I'm home for 48 hours and gone for 36 hours, would a grey be ok with that if my girlfriend opens the cage while I'm gone so it can get some out of cage time? Or will this just end up bonding those two and be left out?

The plan is to stay together from now on, the only time we aren't together is when one of us is at work. If I buy a grey I'm buying local so hopefully one just really likes me. With the exception of an IRN I had all the birds I have had has preferred me. The IRN didn't much care for me or my girlfriend but took an instant liking to the people I sold him to so I was glad he got a good home.Any time you bring a parrot home there is always a chance of it bonding to someone else in the house hold. You may get a grey and the girl friend a macaw and they end up taking to each other. The birds live in the household and they should be looked at as household pets. If you and the girl friend are not looking at spending a life time togther may be hold off untill your life is a little more stable.
