two 'tiels both boys, Punkie 4 and Rocky, 3. A one year old green cheek, male named Beeker (rules the house lol), A Senegal about 9 months named Baby, sex undetermined, and a male blue fronted Amazon
Hi this is beekersmom. Welcome from my flock to yours. Are both your IRN's female? I understand that females are more common than the males due to the nesting behavior of the females. What color are they? The one my husband had was all white with a reddish orange beak. She got so possessive of him we had no choice but to give her up, but we made sure that she went to a proper home. She loves men, but would go out of her way to attack me every chance she got. But I still loved her. She had a sneaky way of endearing herself on you and then BAM! The eyes would pin and she would strike. I managed to trick her into letting me get a pet in a time or two and she would always talk for me, and take treats nice, but that was all I was good for to her LOL
Hey!
Thanks for all your welcomes! Beekersmom, both of ours are the wild type. They are both green. She was hand fed as her parents didn't want to do so after the 3rd day. So she's quite people friendly and used to different people handling her. He came from an outdoor aviary as the breeder was getting rid of his large flock. He's been with us for almost 3 years now. We got him when he was 3 months old but he is still afraid of everyday objects. It's funny how much a pink tailors tape scares him. Right now though, he is the one with behavioral problems. I posted in another thread about that and it appears it could be he is trying to breed. He too is too possessive of her that we have them in separate cages for the time being.
