I found a bunch of grey/blue/blackish parrot poops in Kirby's cage tonight and my heart stopped. Then I remembered I gave him two blueberries earlier in the day. It's many hours later but he may have dropped them and are them later.

Is it normal for parrots to have this color poop after eating blueberries?

O, those infamous blueberry poops lol! Yes, it is totally normal for a bird to have dark poops after eating blueberries and many a parrot owner has panicked forgetting they gave their birds some. I would say, if it was within 24 hours of offering the blueberries, that's your answer!

Thank The Lord. I was just a little concerned after I remembered but when I saw those black poops all over his cage and forgot about the berries, I nearly had a heart attack!!

I have another question about poop, didn't want to make another topic about it one week because that'd be a bit annoying.

Is yellow/green. He's been pooping this color since when he went to bed. It's sort of yellower than usual. He always has brown or green poops but these are brighter and have a tint of yellow. Is that ok?

What are you feeding him & when was his last checkup? Any of his foods yellow?
