Does anybody's Alex get into moods? This morning after I had taken Bundii's sleeping blanket off, she was immediately grumpy. I guess she must not of had a good nights sleep. But man, I ended up telling her to go back into her bed and get out the other side.

So was so grumpy with was out of character. She attacked the side of the cage, went to lunge at me, did not give her normal morning screech or anything.

She is currently taking her frustration/grumpiness out on her perch. Poor perch.

I guess I better jump to getting her breakfast ready or otherwise I will be in. Ore trouble.

Just like humans birds can have bad days too, Rosie tends to be grumpy in the morning if she's woken up to early(she likes to sleep in until 9:30).

How old is he? Could it be hormones? Also be aware of his other behaviors, sometimes sudden grumpiness is a red flag for us parronts that something may be wrong.

Wow! Madge is doing the exact same thing! The other night as I was covering the cage, she lunged at me through the bars, complete with eye-pinning. I was astounded, as she's never been anything but sweet and loving. Barney's not doing it, but Madge has been in a *foul* mood the last couple of days. I put it down to seasonal stuff, but wouldn't have thought my sweet Maggi Noodle would have such a personality change. I guess we'll just have to watch and wait, eh?

PS. Maybe Madge and Bundii have PMS???

Copper - Bundii is 4 and think is was just a one off type of thing. It could be seasonal but she seems to be fine now. I have just finished giving her breakfast and she has had a nap for the last hour an deems to be in a better mood. Maybe she just had a crap nights sleep.

Trish - I don't think my hubby could handle that. He is having a hard enough time being out voted by the females in this house already. :D

As it would seem the happy little birdie has retuned once she was fed. Although I think the grumpiness level went up a couple of notches as it took me forever to get her food ready. I went to the grocery shop yesterday but had not cut it all up yet. So I had to do that this morning and somebody does not have the patience for that. You would think that she had not been fed in like a week. Which is far from the case.
