Goodbye for now Echo

My baby Echo has passed away recently. She was struck by a car. I had her out for our usual "sunny day" walk that we have every time it's sunny out. She got scared by someone honking a horn and took off. Her wings were clipped but she could fly straight ahead. She flew right into a moving vehicle and passed away right there. I've been crushed. I've been having nightmares reliving the scene and I can't get over it. Seeing her empty cage just kills me.

I used to joke that she was my Pokemon because she was so close to me and was so smart. I taught her all sorts of tricks and commands. I was planning on one day introducing her to my future wife and kids. She was only 4 years old. She had a whole life ahead of her. I will miss her and never forget her. I love you Echo. Please wait for me on Rainbow Bridge. I'll meet you there someday I promise.

This is terrible, you must be crushed. I'm so sorry, few words can comfort the loss of a best friend. Echo was so young, makes me cry just thinking about it

Did the driver and apologize? I would feel terrible if I ever hit someone's beloved animal.

I am just seeing this but, I am also so moved by this terrible accident. So sorry for your loss and the traumatic memory. These things happen so quickly and seem like some unbelievable nightmare. Your bird didn't have to suffer long, if at all, as quick as this happened, and is waiting at the rainbow bridge. RIP Echo.
