first good new is we have a new manager and a new owner of the apartments we stay in yeaaaaa and they do not care how many birds you have as long as they do not disturb your neighbors soooooooooo me and hubby are going to go see a African Grey named Pongo on Saturday , he is 2 and a half years old and the owner said he tends to like women more then men , not sure if that's a good thing because my husband does spend a lot of time with the birds but we will see , I would love to have my other 2 birds back that I rehomed but they are well settled in their new homes and their moms are very attached to them , it's nice to know the have a good home and they are well taken care of
this is my first rehomed bird so what should I expect from him or her , she doesn't know if he is a boy or a girl , in the future I do want to have him dna tested to find out , hope this all works out , things I should watch out for ? any help is well appreciated ty

Think it clear! Did you had to re-home the previous two because of noise reasons? African Grey can be loud so you might end up re-homing him again due to noise reasons. But I've seen some that's moderately quiet and some mainly chatters. So the choice is up to you on how you want to proceed this as I don't encourage people to get most of types of birds if they're in a apartment situation.

no I didn't have to rehome them because of the noise it was because our previous landlords said only 2 birds but now we have new landlords and a new manager , I have a amazon and so far Rocky has not bothered anyone and all my neighbors know he is here so I think I'am ok with this

My grey makes one beep noise that is really shrill, and the rest is all chatter. Now I met another grey a few weeks ago ...and she did a godawful beep that made my ears ring. I've never heard anything that loud and we were at the stable, she takes her grey all over with her and the grey has her own travel cage in the mini van and goes EVERYwhere which is REALLY cool but ....anyways.....she scared the CRUD out of about 40 horses with that beep. But if you have an amazon and you haven't had any problems, I bet one horrid beep noise won't make too much of a difference. Ugh I shivered remembering Hookas beep/sqwak/warcry. I mean seriously...my grandmother kept 5 blue and gold macaws in the house and I swear the noise that this grey let out could have shown up those macaws anyday.
