My name is Tracey and I am owned by 4 lil parrots. Marly is a female Yellow Sided Green Cheek Conure, Juno is a female Sun Conure, Skye is a male Blue Crown Conure, and Kuuky is our male Krazy Kockatiel.

I am an active member of the Austin Parrot Society, and members of AFA and NPRPF. Working on a membership to the WPT and in the process of becoming a certified aviculturist through the AFA.

My parrots and doggie (Stryker - a male Blue Heeler/ Pit Bull Mix) are my children & my life. I do have a 17 year old boy, but he's at the age where he doesn't want anything to do with mom unless he wants food or money.. LOL

Hi Kelli! Glad to hear I'm not the only bird crazy person in Austin... ;) I live in Hutto, where are you when you aren't in Florida? Working at Disney has got to be a fun job! Gallery of Pets makes me want to spend too much money LOL Every time I go in there I want all the birds!

LOL I've definitly driven through Hutto ( Go hippos) a few times. I live in Temple, but have an aunt in Pflugerville, so spend alot of time in the Austin area. I was sooo lucky to get Misty at gallery of pets - I think I ended up with one of the most tame teils ever. I actually went there looking for a lovebird as my first bird because I loved the way they looked, and Gallery was one of the only places I could find with handfed ones. Although once I got there and saw how flighty and not so touchy they were I fell in love with the cockatiels. They were alll sooo sweet. I purschased Misty and her cage and toys and everything, and the people actually set up everything right there in the store to give me an idea of cage setup and all, and then kept her for a couple other weeks while they finished handfeeding her. It was an amazing store!

COOL!!! And yes... GO HIPPOS!! LOL We'll have to meet up sometime. My cockatiel, I don't know his history. He's a good bird though. Got some minor issues we are working on, but he's coming along really well. Gotta love positive reinforcement!
