Gonna make a painted conure

I went to Wally today and got a canvas. It's a 2pk and was only $6. I also bought some paints and I got a 'blow up' of the picture of Skittles I want to paint.

I figure it's worth experimenting. I like that it's a 2pk cause I can 'practice' on one and paint the final piece on the other.

I also got a black plaque that hangs and I got a bag of wooden letters and a wooden crown. Guess what I plan on doing with those???? LOL.

Took on a new project today. Something I've been wanting to do for a while. Make Skitty a nameplate.

What do you all think? (It's not done yet, but it's coming along!)

PS, the red "S" and the blue "S" on the bottom plate are on the wrong ends. I haven't glued them yet.

I got the black plaque, the crown and the small letters from Walmart. I got the big letters, big hearts and wooden plaque from Hobby Lobby.

I can't wait to see the finished projects!

Not sure when I'm going to start the conure picture. I got all the supplies - paint, brushes, photo and canvas. Now I just need to trace the outline. I wish they taught painting classes around here. I may watch some instructional videos on YouTube.
