I'M SO EXCITED!! 2 of the 6 Sun Conures are laying eggs! She has laid 2 so far, BUT, 1 of them she laid on the grate and it cracked because her nest was falling off the cage and needed to be re attached so was off the cage for ONE STUPID night because my daughter didn't know how to fix it, so sadly, she laid her first one on the grate and it cracked.
NOW, she has laid her second egg and is about to lay a 3rd.
We've never bred Sunny's before and had NO idea that these guys were even IN breeding season, so, it was quite the surprise. I've been taking extra special care of her lately, giving her soft foods so he can feed her easier, making sure she's getting some good calcium and Vitamin A and just all around making sure she AND he are keeping healthy through all this. I DID think that Cujo was acting even MORE Cujo like though, LOL.. VERY aggressive lately, he's even been attacking Mom when she's feeding them every morning. Good Golly!!! Anyways... Just thought I'd share!
