Goldenfeast Recall - Link in post

Thank you so much for posting this.

My heart skipped a beat because all my fids get several different blends of Goldenfeast. Thank God none of their mixes are listed. Phew!!!

I will move this thread to General Health care, in hopes of more members seeing this. :)

OK I gotta check out where you moved this to, as Kylie came to me with a brand new canister of one of the recalled blends. Now I am FREAKING out, as she has been eating this stuff !!!!!

If you ordered through MSBS, check your order history and then send them an email if you have one of the recalls.

Don't panic! You can also call Goldenfeast directly with questions.

The canister I have has the same UPC code as one of the recalled ones but not the same use by date, so hopefully I am in the clear. Also, I only serve it cooked, so maybe that would have killed any bacteria/ salmonella in it. It was already opened and she had been eating it before I got her though. I haven't noticed any change in poops either. Whew I sure was freaked out and I will certainly be on poop watch patrol for a while to make sure Kylie is safe. I don't normally feed these type of things because I am always concerned about recalls, but she was already on this diet and I was weaning her off it . She has taken to the fresh diet very well so I am just going to throw this canister out to be safe.

I've got two GF blends... and one of them is on there.... guess I need to contact Kathie and see if she knows!!!

But I don't know if she does... since the bag the food came in I've already tossed it... I doubt it's one of the effected ones, as I've been feeding this for some months now!

This is something urgent for everyone to be aware of!!!!!

They knew about this since Feb?

Kathie said that only two blends that she kept in stock were effected, neither of which I've ordered! So I'm in the clear! Phew!

Yes i am in the clear also, as I verified with Kathie that mine wasn't part of the recall. My use by dates were not the one's affected. Phew that God, I was ready to panic and call the vet back out.
