Golden conure

Hi I am being given a female Golden Conure tomorrow and am hoping she will get on with my male GCC. I can’t seem to find much information on Golden Conures so can people advise if it is possible she will get on with a GCC

OH wow, lucky you! Golden/Queen of Bavaria conures are beautiful!

It is impossible to know until they are actually introduced. But exercise extreme caution, as there is a significant size difference. That golden conure can easily kill your GCC.

Introductions should be slow, measured, and always supervised. Never trust them alone together for a second. It goes without saying, but they should not be housed in the same cage.

I certainly hope you post some pictures when your new girl arrives!

Fortunately (unfortunately?) the Rb is so aggressive and territorial that I've never even dared to think of another bird...
Many here have found that they have to separate birds permanently... some have been fortunate and multiple birds get along.
You just never know! Never, ever.
Good for you for being so responsible and serious, and for reaching out!
I think that as long as you're willing to deal with whatever happens (e.g., separating them, if needed, handling added expenses, etc.), you'll be a great parront to both. That golden beauty is worth whatever it takes! And of course, your little rooster deserves to stay specialspecialspecial in your heart and household.

Very exciting! Your GCC is likely to the instigator, they are buddy and fearless.

If you go slow, use food introducing in a neutral area with lots of space between them. Prevent fights fo slow, reassurance to the original bird a lot of attention to original bird! Finally coo and let new bird infront of old bird. Go slow. I thi k they have a good chance if getting along.

Thank you for your replies. I will make sure the introductions are done slowly. The golden conure lives outside at the moment. I was hoping that both birds will be able to go in my aviary together eventually.
